IWB Terminal is a dashboard for your portfolio. It reads your positions (your shares, your sold puts, your covered calls, your cash) and turns them into one clear picture: what you'd owe if your puts got assigned, how that compares to the IWB playbook's guardrails, how far the market would have to fall before margin becomes a problem, and what income your positions are producing.
It's analytics and education. It never tells you what to buy or sell, and it never touches your account. It only helps you understand what you already own.
Option 1: type it in yourself. You never have to connect anything. Add your positions manually and every feature works exactly the same.
Option 2: connect your broker, and your positions, balances, and prices flow in automatically. Here's exactly how that connection works, because it's reasonable to be careful about it.
We never see your broker login. Ever. When you connect, you're handed to a secure window run by SnapTrade, a company whose entire business is safe, read only brokerage connections for finance apps. You sign in to your broker there. Your username and password go to your broker, not to us. IWB Terminal has no way to see them, and nothing to store.
Who is SnapTrade? They're the connection service behind established investing apps like Simply Wall St and Blossom, with connectivity to more than 400 million investor accounts across brokerages including Schwab, Fidelity, Robinhood, and E*Trade. They are SOC 2 Type II certified (the industry security audit for companies that handle financial data), encrypt everything in transit and at rest with bank grade encryption, and run regular third party penetration testing plus a public bug bounty program.
The connection is read only, by permission, not by promise. We request only read access, so the connection can see balances and positions but cannot place trades, withdraw, or move money. That's enforced by your broker and SnapTrade, not just by our word. You can revoke the connection at any moment, from the app or directly in your broker's own security settings, and deleting your IWB Terminal account revokes it on our side automatically.
The connection can only look. It can't touch. It reads your positions and balances so the dashboard can do its math. It cannot place trades, move money, withdraw funds, or change anything in your account. There is no button in IWB Terminal that trades, and no permission behind the scenes that could.
You can cut it off anytime. Disconnect from your Account tab in the app, or revoke access directly inside your broker's own security settings. Your broker always shows you what's connected and lets you kill it from their side too.
Encrypted in transit. Everything between your device and IWB Terminal travels over HTTPS, the same encryption your bank's website uses.
Private to your account. Your portfolio is stored in private storage tied to your login alone. Members can't see each other's data. Your book is yours.
Your password is never stored as text. We keep only a scrambled version (a hash that cannot be reversed), which is the industry standard way to make sure nobody, including us, can read your password.
Your data is not for sale. We don't sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers. And you can export a backup or delete everything from your Account tab whenever you want.
The math engine behind every number is tested against independent calculations before it ships, and the guardrails come straight from the IWB stock sheet, the same playbook taught on the channel. Prices update from live market data during the day.
Everything you see is an estimate built from your positions and current prices. Markets move, brokers differ on margin details, and no model predicts the future, so treat the numbers as a clear map, not a guarantee.
It's not a broker, it can't trade, and it's not financial advice. Nothing in the app, including Copilot, the assistant built into the app, is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything. It explains what your numbers mean under the IWB playbook; every decision is yours. See the Terms of Service for the full version.
